Why I Started Team MoLo MS
Updated: Sep 4

Living with MS changed how I move. It didn't change my determination to keep moving.
It has taught me that something most people take for granted—movement—can look completely different from one person to the next.
Somewhere along the way, I realized we spend too much time measuring ourselves by what we can’t do instead of recognizing what we still can.
That’s where Team MoLo MS began.
Motion is Lotion.
It doesn’t mean everybody needs to walk farther, exercise harder or somehow overcome their disability. It means keep moving in whatever way movement is possible for you.
Walk. Roll. Stretch. Move from a chair. Get outside. Go somewhere. Try something. Connect with somebody.
Because Every Movement Matters.
But MoLo was never meant to be only about physical movement.
I wanted to create something where people living with MS, disabilities and mobility challenges could find possibilities—and where nobody had to prove what they could do before they belonged.
I’ve said it before:
People don’t need perfect bodies. They need possibilities.
That belief became bigger than an idea. Other people believed in it too. They brought their own experiences, talents, voices and ideas, and what started as a vision began becoming a community.
We don’t all move the same.
We don’t face the same challenges.
And we certainly don’t have the same story.
That’s the point.
Team MoLo MS is about meeting people where they are, encouraging them to keep moving forward, and reminding each other that changing how you move does not mean you stop living.
I move with purpose.
I create hope for others.
And I believe we are stronger together, moving forward.
